About Us

We are a channel through which an individual or group having the desire to do ministry may use their gifts. We are all about people; we want to be a beacon of hope to those who are hurting.

At Acts 1:8, we work with volunteer groups of various ages: you are never to young or too old because the youth crave wisdom and the older have wisdom to share. Never under estimate yourself, or the power of your presence, or what you have to offer.

History

Acts 1:8 Mission Society was established in 2002. Centered
around the Bible verse Acts 1:8, which says, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit will comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth," the mission was and continues to focus on reaching out to those near and far. Projects such as rehabbing Christ in the City (The Crave) and The Rock are just two of the many projects Acts 1:8 has taken on. Traveling to places like Texas, California, and China for construction projects are also part of what we have done/do. We focus on coming together as a community, providing service opportunities, and making a difference in the places we work. The Rock is still in progress and the Mustard Seed Learning Center is in the making!
